The entrance examination will comprehensively evaluate candidates’ basic academic ability and motivation, with the aim of selecting students to be trained as businesspersons who can work effectively in global business. New university graduates, international students and working members of society residing in Japan are qualified to sit this examination.
Qualifications for application
Candidates should be university graduates (or prospective graduates) able to sit the entrance examination in Japan.
Overall English-language ability will be evaluated in the entrance examination itself, so applicants are not required to have reached a specific level in a formal English test before applying. However, students will require a level of English sufficient for them to follow without difficulty a graduate-level degree course taught only in English. A TOEFL iBT score of at least 85, a TOEIC score of at least 780 or an IELTS score of at least 6.0, may be regarded as a general indication of the level of English-language ability likely to be necessary. Persons unsure as to whether they are qualified to sit the entrance examination should inquire beforehand to the office of the Institute of Business and Accounting.
