Why did you decide to study in Japan?
Ever since I was kid, I found myself interested in Japanese products such as cars. I always dreamed of visiting the country. My dream came true when I got scholarship from Ashinaga Foundation. I love Japanese culture.
How have your feelings changed since coming to Japan and what is your life in Japan like?
My feelings haven’t changed much, but I have been challenged in many ways. At first I found it weird that people don’t talk to each other that much here in Japan. But now I’m beginning to understand why. Overall, living in Japan has made me appreciate my own culture and cultural differences between the countries. It made me considerate to others and a better person
How did you spend or how are you spending your time while studying in Japan?
I spent most of my time interacting with locals to get to know more about the culture and way of living. Playing sports such as soccer helped me to make friends and learn the language. I also join some clubs with old people to share my culture and learn from them. Beside that I taught English to children and adults as a part time job.
What did you gain from Kwansei Gakuin University Business School?
Being at IBA helped me to grow both personally and professionally. I had chance to connect with friends from different countries. Most importantly I got to understand what Mastery for service mean. Have a chance to learn from international faculties I learned that leadership is a mindset that need to be developed and KGU Business School(IBA) is a right institution to develop that mindset.
I will forever be greatfull for being a part of IBA family
What are your future goals and prospects?
Currently I’m leading an organization to support high school students with career education and I hope to continue that. Also, I will be working in Japan for few years to gain work experience that would help me to initiate change in my community
