Ph.D. (Graduate School of Business Administration, Kobe University), 2012, MBA (Accounting and Information Systems, University of Dhaka),2003. He has more than 8 years of teaching experience in universities including University of Dhaka. His research interests include social and environmental accounting, reporting and auditing, corporate accountability issues, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and corporate sustainability management. His paper titled "An Overview of Corporate Social and Environmental Reporting (CSER) in Developing Countries" was awarded as the best published paper in the Issues in Social and Environmental Accounting Journal in 2010. Recent research includes publication in Corporate Social Disclosure-Critical Perspectives in China and Japan, Palgrave Macmillan; Corporate Sustainability in International Comparison- State of Practice, Opportunities and Challenges, Springer; and International Journal of Environment and Sustainable Development.
