Announcement of the 20th Anniversary Lectures of IBA

Institute of Business and Accounting (IBA) at Kwansei Gakuin University was established in April 2005. IBA consists of the Management Strategy Major (Business School) as a successor to the Management Course of the Graduate School of Business Administration, which was established in 1993, and the Accounting Major (Accounting School), which was established to further develop the university’s traditional accounting education. In April 2025, IBA celebrated its 20th anniversary.
To commemorate this 20th anniversary, we are pleased to host the following lectures featuring Mr. Tsuyoshi Morioka and Mr. Masahiro Hara.
■Date: Saturday, September 20, 2025
■Time: From 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM (Doors open at 12:00 noon)
■Place: Central Auditorium (中央講堂) at the Nishinomiya Uegahara Campus, Kwansei Gakuin University
〔Details of the Anniversary Lecture〕
Lecture 1: Lecturer Mr. Tsuyoshi MORIOKA, KATANA 刀 marketing and entertainment CEO
The tentative title of the lecture is “What Is Challenge?”
Lecture 2: Lecturer Mr. Masahiro HARA, chief engineer of DENSO WAVE’s Edge Products Business Unit.QR Code developer.
The subject of the lecture is “The Origins and Growth of the QR Code That Changed the World.”
*The lectures will be held in English and Japanese with simultaneous interpretation.
【Advance registration required】Applications are now closed.
All applicants who submit their applications by the deadline will be able to participate.
【Important Notes】
・Due to high registration numbers, the venue is expected to be crowded on the day of the event.
・Kwansei Gakuin University’s Uegahara Campus does not have parking facilities. Please use public transportation to attend.
・To ensure as many attendees as possible can be seated, we kindly ask for your cooperation in moving closer together if you see empty seats nearby.
・At the speaker’s request, video recording, photography, audio recording, and posting content from the lecture on social media are strictly prohibited.
・Simultaneous interpretation (English translation) will be provided during the event. Seating for those requiring interpretation will be assigned.
